Call for Proposal 2011 National Smart Start Conference | Deadline EXTENDED to: September 8, 2010 |
| The National Smart Start Conference is the nation’s largest conference devoted to early education systems and strategies. It provides professional development for early education leaders committed to improving the quality of and access to early childhood services for all children. The conference gives participants the opportunity to access the latest research, learn new skills and share lessons learned. As such, it attracts attendees from all facets of early care and education, including government, nonprofit, community, and business leaders.
Proposals should support attendees’ in their work developing comprehensive community-based early childhood systems. The 2011 Conference will feature workshops on ECE Program & Practitioner Support, Policy, Public Engagement & Advocacy, Governance & Administration, Standards & Accountability, Research, Early Childhood Systems Development, Family Support, and Early Care Health & Mental Health. Please note that participants may be at different stages of development.
Created in 1993, Smart Start was the nation’s first statewide early childhood system. It is a community-based, public-private early childhood initiative designed to ensure that every child reach his or her potential and is prepared for success in the global community.
