| | | | Workshops: | We have a new workshop format this year. Some performers will present their topic in a three day progressive class. You will have the opportunity to learn from a world-class harper for all three days during that class period, and you will come away with a great handle on the techniques, theory, or tunes presented! You can also choose from the selection of single day workshops. |
| | | HarpCon Concerts: | There will be two concerts a day, lots of opportunities to jam with other harpers and to share your music at the open mike and Saturday night Ceili. |
| HarpCon Exhibit Hall: | Some say the exhibit hall is the best part of harp conferences! Try out a variety of harps and browse through music in the exhibit hall. For Exhibit Hall details click here. |
|
| | | | Harpcon Volunteers: | This will be the first ever Board-run HarpCon, so we will be welcoming volunteers – particularly onsite. When registering, please check the “yes” box if you are interested in becoming involved this way. |
| | | Millennium Hotel: | We’re very excited about the new conference format, as well as the location. The Millennium Hotel is directly across from the famous Gateway Arch, with the Busch Stadium across the street in the other direction. All the rooms have a fabulous view! We’ll be using the bottom floor of the hotel for all our harping activities with no stairs or long walks to anything – workshops, concerts, exhibit hall, jam sessions. Just an elevator ride down from your room will deliver you to the heart of the conference activities! Consider bringing the whole family – the free metro system will take them to the park with a zoo and museums, and the walkable downtown area is hopping with activity! Take advantage of discounted Millennium hotel rates for HarpCon 2010 attendees! We have negotiated a $119 per room with NO additional charge for internet! Please join us at HarpCon 2010! | | | Register for the MillenniumHotel with a discounted rate: https://gc.synxis.com/rez.aspx?Hotel=11544&Chain=5303&lang=1&group=1007SOCFOL&arrive=08/10/2010&depart=08/15/2010 | Lambert International Airport and Shuttle Information: Lambert International Airport (Airport Code STL) is approximately 20 minutes from the Millinnium Hotel.
