We do, and it's called (appropriately) Project Management Institute - New York City. Meetups are a great way to find like-minded professionals and meet interesting people! Here is a snapshot of our new group:

October Member Meeting: Project 911 - Rescuing Problem Projects - October 15
NOTE: NEW LOCATION FOR THIS MEETING!
Have you ever led a project that was behind schedule, over budget, or both? What PM skills do you use to get the project back on track? Lynn Van Sweden, PMP, ECMM describes an approach that has been used successfully in various industries (utilities, manufacturing, academia, not-for-profit) and for various types of projects, such as IT, construction, process improvements, events and even proof of concept projects. Lynn will demonstrate how your use of "ENERGY" can tune your approach and hone the skills needed to rescue a Project 911.

Join PMINYC for New York City's largest hands-on volunteer day. Spend the day creating murals, preparing libraries and classrooms, and gardening (weather permitting) at the New Dorp School on Staten Island.
