Heather Evans, Deputy Assistant Secretary at the International Trade Administration. Both sides emphasized the significance of innovative solutions and partnerships in addressing challenges like food, energy, and climate security, with key areas of discussion encompassing gas monetization, low-carbon development, and workforce education, underscoring the importance of collaboration and innovation for prosperity. #MethaneAbatement is the fastest way to slow the pace of #climatechange. Thanks to partners including the Bilateral Chamber of Commerce, Chevron and Flogistix, LP for their contributions to the reverse trade missions on this topic that the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) hosted last year. Relatedly, I had the opportunity to join the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and a wide array of U.S. companies this morning for a roundtable discussion on tools and resources to support #methane abatement. Thanks to Marty Durbin, Dan Byers and Kendall Stephenson at the Chamber and Claire Wang at the State Department for organizing this productive discussion.
