The 2024 California Economic Summit will take place in Stockton, CA on October 8-10. Along with the California Stewardship Network, we are excited to convene with partners from industry, community, and the private, public, and nonprofit sectors—all of whom are committed to building an inclusive and sustainable economy where all Californians can prosper.
The Summit’s network is unique in championing solutions that balance equity, environmental sustainability and economic growth. We are excited to bring this year’s Summit to the northern San Joaquin Valley region, home of manufacturing, agriculture, transportation and logistics, clean energy, higher education, and more!

THE EVENT
Produced by California Forward in partnership with the California Stewardship Network, the Summit influences CA FWD’s ongoing movement to make the government and economy work for everyone. The three-day Summit is designed to create a shared economic agenda known as the Roadmap to Shared Prosperity and strengthen the Summit network, setting the stage for collective action in the coming year.

The California Economic Summit, produced by California Forward (CA FWD) and members of its California Stewardship Network, is built upon the principle that regional approaches to economic problem solving are critical to ensuring all Californians, regardless of zip code, have the opportunity to claim their California Dream.
The Summit’s priorities are directly responsive to and scaled to meet the challenges of today. Focusing on a set of specific proposals and positions where collaboratively we can make the biggest impact, the Summit develops triple-bottom-line solutions that balance racial and geographic equity, environmental sustainability and economic growth. From expanding homeownership and empowering resilient and productive landscapes, to bridging the digital divide and providing meaningful career pathways, the Summit is the only event of its kind where leaders across all sectors, industries and regions can come together to propel solution-oriented bipartisan collaboration to move the state forward.
The Summit influences CA FWD’s ongoing movement to improve government and create inclusive, sustainable growth. The event has been held in cities across the state with the goal of representing the diversity and assets of California’s regions.
