MN Concrete Forum: Concrete Maturity – A Method that Truly Keeps Getting Harder
Concrete Maturity is a commonly used (and sometimes misused) method to estimate the in-place compressive strength of newly placed concrete elements. This presentation gave a brief overview of the history and theory behind concrete maturity, the current standard for use (ASTM C1074), and current maturity equipment available in the industry. The presentation focused on real-world examples where maturity was used including possible advantages and disadvantages.
Nick Hansen, Senior Scientist at Braun Intertec, was the presenter.
