Cvent Announces Record Sales in 2008

Increased Sales, Additional Employees and Product Enhancements in 2008

MCLEAN, VA - MARCH 25, 2009 - Cvent, the industry leader in event management software, web surveys and online venue sourcing tools (eRFPs), has announced another year of significant company growth in terms of sales revenue, client acquisition and new employees.

"In spite of a challenging economic environment, Cvent has had a remarkable year," said Thomas Kramer, Cvent's Chief Financial Officer. "We have generated 35% year over year sales growth across products. We've also hired over 100 additional employees, so we can continue to assist our clients in managing their events, surveys and marketing campaigns. We have our hand on the pulse of the industry and pay close attention to what our clients want. I think the demand for our products reflect that attention to the pain points of the industry. We've seen how delivering on the requests of our event planners and survey customers has enabled Cvent to expand our client base."

Over 4,000 organizations purchased Cvent's event management toolset in 2008, including Charles Schwab, Loyola University, Prudential Insurance Company of America, Cisco, The Economist Group and Avid Technology. Among the many organizations that have chosen Cvent's web survey tool to gather critical business intelligence are Alliant Techsystems, Smith & Nephew, Stryker, Hospira and the Guggenheim Museum.

In 2008, Cvent made substantial product enhancements for clients and created a new complimentary event sourcing toolset available for free through Cvent's website. The Cvent Supplier Network is the most comprehensive global online directory of hotels, conference centers, restaurants, unique event spaces and service providers on the market. The power of this online directory, coupled with an eRFP management solution, makes this software a must have for meeting and event planners. Almost 10,000 RFPs were sent over the Cvent Supplier Network in the last quarter of 2008.
