Job Description:
The Application Support Engineer is a key member of Cvent's Technology team, which designs, develops and operates large-scale, Internet-based applications. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide support, troubleshooting, and product knowledge to Cvent's Client Services team. This person excels at working with multiple teams to resolve issues and ensure that our product offerings are user-friendly and bug-free. This is an entry-level position with significant opportunity for career growth.
Position Duties:
- Provide top-tier support for Cvent's product offerings to our customer service team and clients
- Work with multiple teams to find, analyze, and resolve client issues
- Troubleshoot software problems in frontend and backend systems
- Monitor, document and report product defects and performance issues
- Provide input on product design and usability based on client feedback and first-hand experience
- Facilitate communication between technology teams and other departments on issue status and resolution
- Supply in-depth technical and business product knowledge to multiple teams
Candidate Requirements:
- The successful candidate will have 0 to 2 years of relevant experience
- BS in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent required
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Solid understanding of relational databases and the Software Development Life Cycle
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Ability to convey technical information to a general audience
- Aptitude for learning new technologies
- Zealous attention to detail
- Knowledge of the following is desirable: database management systems, SQL, HTML, XML, C#, ASP.NET, IIS, JavaScript
