Job Description:
We have multiple openings for a rewarding and lucrative Sales Associate position for extraordinarily talented and motivated individuals who thrive in fast-paced, entrepreneurial work environments. We have openings across all product areas: Event Management, Web Surveys and Supplier Network. Your main responsibility will be lead qualification as you will serve as initial point of contact with prospective customers and provide product information to prospects interested in learning more about Cvent's products and viewing a product demonstration. You will be required to demonstrate solution-selling skills and work closely with the senior sales team to ensure prospects turn into actual customers. The career path in this position is unlike almost any other sales position you may have seen in the market.
Sales Team
Our team of 130 sales professionals is very diverse group and many started with us directly from the top universities in the Mid-Atlantic. We tend to hire bright people who are very motivated to succeed. You will participate in an eight-week, structured training program, and you will find that our processes and techniques are as advanced as many Fortune 500 companies.
This position has opportunity to travel to Cvent's international offices to provide training and mentoring to our global sales team.
Career Path
The goal for most Sales Associates is to be promoted within the sales organization into a Sales Executive position. Generally it will take between 18 - 24 months to be promoted into this role, once you demonstrate a high level of expertise in the responsibilities of the position as well as the leadership qualities that are necessary in this role. Once in a Sales Executive role, you will generally be leading a team of up to five (5) other professionals that include Sales Associates, Product Consultants, Marketing Analysts and Sales Support representatives. Very few companies would offer an opportunity to lead such a large team so quickly.
Position Duties:
- Serve as the first in-depth point of contact to customers
- Lead identification and qualification
- Provide product information to prospective customers
- Partner with senior sales team to achieve new-booked business quota
- Mentor Telesales Associates, as needed
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with strong academic credentials
- Strong sense of initiative and personal leadership demonstrating the ability to function independently, but must also be able to contribute to team initiatives
- Strong business acumen, ethics and high integrity
- Excel at developing relationships over the phone
- Ability to handle high outbound call volume with corresponding high talk time
- Must be articulate, organized, detail-oriented, and the ability to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-changing entrepreneurial environment
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Comfortable using general office software applications; sales automation products such as Salesforce.com and web collaboration tools like WebEx a plus
