Strategic Partnerships Manager

Job Description:

Cvent, Inc. is the market leader of on-demand event management software and strategic meetings management solutions. Cvent offers web-based software with features including online event registration, event management, event website creation, meeting site selection, event sourcing and web surveys.

The Manager, Global Strategic Partnerships will be an integral part of the Cvent Enterprise Sales and Partnerships team. At the direction of the Vice President, you will work with resellers, referral partners, and strategic partners of the Company to drive adoption of Cvent's products, increase revenue opportunities, and improve the overall success of the partnerships. You will work on projects with senior management and other executives across the Company.

Candidate Responsibilities:

  • Manage effective ongoing relationships with current partners to ensure focus on Cvent’s Core Strategic Goals
  • Increase adoption of Cvent products within strategic accounts
  • Identify and close business-critical external partner relationships
  • Be the point person for partner accounts from both a strategic and tactical perspective
  • Manage global clients to achieve additional revenue streams and ensure a long standing partnership
  • Add credibility based on subject matter expertise of the meetings industry, specifically strategic meetings management and event sourcing
  • Leverage key account relationships and drive partnership strategy to create a global value proposition
  • Manage the overall relationship with resellers to ensure successfully achieving partnership goals through effective communication and developing strong relationships
  • As the partner’s advocate, manage activities and regular communication between the partners and the various departments within Cvent, including Technology, Sales, Client Services, and Marketing
  • Work closely with members of Cvent’s Executive Management team to provide status updates about partner relationships

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent professional industry working experience strongly preferred
  • Advanced degree a plus
  • Significant experience of (5) or more years in Partnership or agency roles
  • Solid prior experience managing external partner and internal management relationships
  • Required experience in on or more of the following industries: hospitality, meetings, travel, or global partnerships
  • Strong business contacts in one or more of the above industries a plus
  • Experience with event management, sourcing, and travel software a plus
  • In-depth knowledge of project management required
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Ability to communicate effectively with external partners and internal team members
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
