New Application Programming Interface Gives Customers System Integration Options

MCLEAN, VA – January 3, 2007 - Cvent, Inc., the leader in web-based event registration, email marketing, and housing and travel solutions, announced the release of a new Application Programming Interface (API) for clients to integrate their back office systems directly with Cvent's web based software.

Cvent's new API offering allows the client's internal back office systems to automatically retrieve information such as contact information, event registration data, payment transaction information and survey responses in a secure manner from Cvent's Event Management and Web Survey products.

"The API solution allows clients to integrate our system with their sales force automation system, customer relationship management system, or other key back office systems," said Chuck Ghoorah, Cvent's Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "System integration is critical for our clients who conduct a high volume of transactions and must meet certain requirements to maintain data synchronization. This tool offers the next level automation and reliability for clients than simply importing and exporting report information."

Using Cvent's API offering, clients can program a custom interface for their back office systems to securely login to their account, search and retrieve data as needed. The Cvent Web Services API is implemented to comply with SOAP 1.1 (Simple Object Access Protocol), and WSDL 1.1 (Web Service Description Language), and WS-I Basic Profile v1.1 specifications. The Cvent web services API also works with modern SOAP development environments.
