
Atlanta Cyclorama and Civil War Museum
Located in Historic Grant Park, the Atlanta Cyclorama is, at 42 feet tall and 358 feet in circumference, the largest oil painting in the world and has been shown in Grant Park since 1893. The Cyclorama depicts the Battle of Atlanta which was fought on July 22, 1864 during the American Civil War. The Civil War Museum houses a wide variety of artifacts from the Civil War including the Texas, a steam locomotive from the Great Locomotive Chase of 1862.
The Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9 Am to 4:30 PM and Sunday from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM. Parking is free with admission. For more information: 404-624-1071
