A showcase of over 22 million pieces of Chicago and U.S. history, the Chicago History Museum is the place for curious guests to learn about the city's past, present and future. Aside from a host of temporary exhibitions, guests can explore the Chicago: Crossroads of America Exhibit to journey back in time to the Great Chicago Fire, gangster era of the 1920s and other notable cultural events. The interactive Sensing Chicago encourages visitors to catch a fly ball at Comiskey Park or ride a high-wheel bicycle, while Treasures is home to unique pieces such as Abraham Lincoln's deathbed.

Numerous museum spaces are available for one-of-a-kind events, including the newly-renovated, 4,850-square-foot Chicago Room and 440-seat Rubloff Auditorium. The outdoor plaza boasts stunning views of Lincoln Park. Group tours are also available.

The Chicago History Museum is open Monday through Saturday from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM and Thursday until 8 PM. It is open Sunday from noon to 5 PM. Tickets, which include audio tours, are $14 for adults and $12 for seniors. Admission for children ages 12 and under is free. Monday admission is free.
