Frank Lloyd Wright Home & Studio

For the first 20 years of his career, architectural great Frank Lloyd Wright lived and worked in this Chicago residence. Aside from raising six children with his first wife in the home, his studio was the site of Wright and his associate's development of Prairie style architecture and the design of 125 structures.

Restored to its 1909 appearance, the home and studio are open for guests to explore on guided tours, which vary in type and length. On the Guided Interior Tour, visitors explore the home and get insights into Wright's family and career life. Other tours include walking excursions through the historic district surround Wright's home and the Restoration Tour, which details how the building was restored to its original state.

Tour schedules and prices vary. The Guided Interior Tours run Monday through Wednesday and Friday at 11 AM, 1 PM and 3 PM and weekends every 20 minutes from 11 AM to 3:30 PM. Thursday hours are added in the summer. Tickets are $5 for children ages 4-10, $10 for youths ages 11-18 and seniors and $12 for adults. Some advance tickets are available.
