Dallas Convention Center Information

Dallas Convention Center-Exhibition Hall

Dallas Convention Center
Owned and operated by the City of Dallas, the Dallas Convention Center is conveniently located in Dallas' central business district. The Convention Center was primarily designed to facilitate events and activities that produce economic growth for the City of Dallas. However, the Convention Center also strives to supply businesses and local organizations with the facilities and resources they need to execute events that enhance the quality of life in the Dallas community.

Offering a total of 726,728 square feet of contiguous exhibit space in addition to the largest column-free exhibit hall in the U.S., the complex prides itself in its ability to host a wide range of events. Large events can be easily accommodated with 7,428 permanent upholstered seats and space for 2,388 additional temporary seats on the floor. The 1,740-person theater is an ideal location to host an opening session or entertain conference attendees with a complimentary concert or show. The Convention Center can seat a total of 9,000 people.

There are two great ballrooms in the Dallas Convention Center. Ballroom A offers 27,000 square feet of space and is equipped to hold up to 2,700 theater-style and as many as 1,800 banquet-style. Ballroom C measures nearly 20,000 square feet and features carpeted floor, striking wood wall-coverings and a unique lighting system. Ballroom C can provide seating for more than 1,900 for a meeting and approximately 1,300 for banquets. In order to meet the requirements of smaller-scale meetings and events, both ballrooms can be divided into four smaller sections. These smaller rooms combine with the complex's additional meeting rooms to total more than 100 individual meeting rooms.

Traveling to and from the Dallas Convention Center could not be easier. Two major airports serve the center and the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) offers public buses and light rail service from the complex to nearby attractions and businesses. The Dallas Convention Center is also home to the largest urban heliport/vertiport in the country.
