National Museum of History and Geography

In operation since 1982, the National Museum of History and Geography features three wings that examine Dominican life from 1822 through 1961. Guests can explore the history of battles between Haitians and Dominicans, or learn about prominent dictator General Ulises Heureaux. Other exhibits highlight the formation of the Antilles and aboriginal life, colonial life and independence, post-independence and North American occupation.

The National Museum of History and Geography is open Tuesday through Sunday from 9 AM to 4:30 PM. Admission is RD$20 for adults. For more information: 809-686-6668
