Guests at The Shaw Conference Centre enjoy world-class hospitality, decadent dining and a spectacular view of Edmonton's North Saskatchewan River Valley. Located in downtown Edmonton, the center is an approximate 30-minute ride from the Edmonton International Airport. A visually appealing structure, one of its most notable features is the abundance of windows that allow sunlight to flood the building. Built into the hillside, the centre has an atrium at street level that welcomes guests to settle in and relax. Underground parking for up to 500 vehicles is available next door to the Shaw Conference Centre at Canada Place and airline check-in and ground transportation is located one block away at the World Trade Centre.

Shaw Conference Centre underwent upgrades in 2006 with the addition of the 26,000-square-foot Hall D, an impressive room that holds 2,000 guests theater-style or 1,200 for a sit-down dinner. Its 30-foot-high windows offer some of the most spectacular views in the city. This addition brings the centre's total floor space to 110,000 square feet, making the facility capable of handling conferences of up to 6,000 delegates. The centre is also making strides to reduce its environmental imprint, implementing the Simple Steps program that encourages staff, partners, contractors, suppliers and clients to make changes such as donating surplus food to homeless shelters, replacing concession disposables with reusable flatware and recycling anything from paper to toner cartridges to oil from the kitchen.

Shaw Conference Centre-Salons

The meeting level of the Shaw Conference Centre has 20 different salons designed to accommodate everything from small groups of up to 20 guests to larger meetings of up to 400 people. Space ranges from 395 square feet to 3,720 square feet, configurable in a variety of ways, from theaters to classrooms to boardrooms to banquet rooms. The assembly level features Halls A, B and C and Salons D, E and F as well as dressing rooms and producer's offices. The Pedway level is shared with Hall D and contains boardrooms and provides enclosed pedestrian access to restaurants, hotels and shopping. All catering, from coffee breaks to cocktail receptions, is done on-site. Wireless Internet is available upon request.
