The weather in Las Vegas is marked with warm summers, balmy winters and plentiful sunlight year-round with little rain. The temperature may rise to about 90°F in the months of May, June and September, and usually surpasses to 100°F in the months of July and August. From December to May, the mountains adjoining the city receive winter snow, but it seldom snows in the city itself. Las Vegas also records a relatively low humidity of under 10% and an annual rainfall of 4.5 in (114 mm) between the months of January to March.
The evening temperature dips to between 86°F and 68°F in November and December. The evenings are mostly cool and pleasant because of the desert climate.
