Las Vegas Things to Do and Las Vegas Attractions

Recreation and Outdoors in Las Vegas

Las Vegas offers ample opportunities for outdoor recreation, including boating, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, scuba diving and skiing. Some outdoor recreational opportunities include Grand Canyon National Park, Valley of Fire State Park, Yosemite National Park and Zion National Park, all well worth a day trip from Las Vegas.

Aliante Golf Club
The Aliante Golf Club is a challenging layout that includes a driving range, practice bunker, chipping green and putting green. With a total yardage 7,022, the Aliante Golf Club is a par-72, 18-hole course where water comes into play on several holes.

Gary Panks is the designer for the Aliante Golf Club, which was recently selected as the "Best New Course in Las Vegas" by Vegas Golfer Magazine and their readers. Aliante Golf Club burst on the Vegas golf scene in December of 2003 and has been receiving rave reviews ever since. For more information: 877-399-4888

Raiders of the Lost Mine ATV (All Terrain Vehicle) Tour and Gold Mine
Take a ride either on a Single Seat ATV or a 2-3 seat "Rhino" or "Ranger;" which are sturdy, strong 4-wheel drive vehicles. These machines are built to maneuver quickly and smoothly over challenging and unique terrain like the historic Eldorado Canyon area, including an adventurous tour through the "Old Savage Mine." The isolated & secluded terrains of the canyon include a natural spring, which supplies precious water to this dry desert.

The "Old Savage Mine" takes you back in time and allows you to experience the work of miners and prospectors who were searching for gold deep in the rugged mountainside abyss.

To be eligible for the ATV ride, one must be 16 years or older while the co-passengers inside the Ranger or Rhino must be at least 12 years and older. The RTV (Rough Terrain Vehicle) tours operate seven days a week, which includes a meal and bottled water for each guest.

RTV Tour Operating Times:
September 15-May 15: 9:00 am-1:30 pm
May 15-September 14: 7:00 am-4:00 pm For more information: 702-869-9991
