Eldon House
Built in 1834, Eldon House is London's oldest residence. Formerly owned by Captain John and Amelia Harris, the house is virtually unaltered from its original state, providing a unique and rare opportunity to explore the life and culture of London in 19th and 20th centuries. Guests can tour family heirlooms, period furnishings and a number of antiques and treasures that decorated such elegant homes at the time.
During the summer, guests can partake in traditional afternoon tea events. Winter is also a popular time to visit, as Eldon House's already lavish adornments are enlivened by elegant Christmas decorations from the Victorian and Edwardian eras.
Tours are given year-round; hours vary based on season. Admission to Eldon House is C$1 for children ages 13 and under, C$6 for adults and C$5 for students and seniors. Wednesday and Sunday admission is by donation. For more information: 519-661-0333
