Fanshawe Pioneer Village
More than 30 replica and original heritage buildings from around southern Ontario together create the 46-acre Fanshawe Pioneer Village. The various restored buildings offer visitors a glimpse into life in the 1800s. Guests can tour a replica of an 1830s school, wander the Heritage Rose Garden or check out the Lochaber Free Presbyterian church, originally built in 1884. Guests can also shop at the Denfield General Store or grab a bite to eat in the Pioneer Village Café.
The village grounds are available for private and corporate functions. Fanshawe Pioneer Village is open Tuesday through Sunday, Victoria Day to Thanksgiving, from 10 AM to 4:30 PM. It remains available for pre-booked events during the remainder of the year. Admission is C$3 for children ages 3-12, C$5 for adults and C$4 for students and seniors.
