From its warm stone fireplace, views of the Thames River and subtle oak décor, Michael's on the Thames invites guests to enjoy a relaxing, upscale night of dining. As the sounds of talented pianists at the Baby Grand waft through the air, diners enjoy a large selection of continental cuisine. Specialties include the rack of lamb, roast duckling au poivre, and Chateaubriand "Bouquetiere," or Canadian beef tenderloin prepared tableside. The "Taste of the Wild" comes with the chef's daily choice of farmed game and a seasonal sauce and garnish. A glass of one of its many wines and a dessert such as the Cherries Jubilee make for a perfect ending to a decadent meal.
The restaurant can accommodate up to 60 guests in one of its various dining spaces. Michael's on the Thames is open Monday through Wednesday from 11:30 AM to 11 PM, Thursday and Friday from 11:30 AM to midnight, Saturday from 5 PM to midnight and Sunday from 5 to 9 PM. Entrees range from C$20 to C$35. For more information: 519-672-0111
