Walt Disney Concert Hall
Part of the Music Center of Los Angeles County, the Walt Disney Concert Hall is one of the most acoustically sophisticated concert halls in the world. Designed by architect Frank Gehry, the breathtaking structure's unique exterior of stainless steel curves has become a recognizable landmark in the city.
As home to the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the concert hall regularly hosts a variety of top-notch musical performances in its 2,265-seat auditorium, from classical to jazz to contemporary. The hall also has two outdoor amphitheaters for 300 or 120 guests, respectively, that often host pre-concert events. Visitors can also peruse the 3,000-square-foot Roy and Edna Disney/CalArts Theater, or REDCAT, operated by the California Institute of the Arts.
In addition to catching a performance, guests can tour the great spaces of the concert hall with audio tours or accompanied by a guide. Tours discuss the concert hall's history, architectural highlights and more.
Several of the Walt Disney Concert Hall's spaces are available for private events, including its Blue Ribbon Garden for up to 400 people, Founder's Room for up to 300 people and Auditorium for up to 2,265 people. Performance schedules and ticket prices vary. Audio tours are offered most days from 10 AM to 2 PM; guided tours run select days at noon and every 30 minutes on matinee or special event days. Group ticket pricing is available. For more information: 323-850-2000
