Memphis Rock 'n Soul Museum
Located on the corner of historic Beale Street, the Memphis Rock 'n Soul Museum affords visitors a glimpse into the fascinating past of rock 'n roll. Archival photographs of early performers and early sound recordings – over 100 in total – are enjoyed in the Smithsonian-produced exhibit Social Crossroads, which demonstrates how early performers had to overcome social and racial barriers to make the music we know today. Other highlights include displays of the famed Sun and Stax recording studios.
The museum offers space for private events. The Memphis Rock 'n Soul Museum is open daily from 10 AM to 7 PM. Admission is $7 for children and $10 for adults. Group rates are available. For more information: 901-205-2533
