Milwaukee Convention Center Information

Midwest Airlines Center
Located in the heart of the downtown district only 10 miles from the General Mitchell International Airport, the Midwest Airlines Center is Milwaukee's premiere convention facility and a testament to Milwaukee's spectacular rebirth. The $185 million Midwest Airlines Center is a 667,475-square-foot facility offering 188,695 gross square feet of continuous exhibit space and a 37,506-square-foot ballroom. Extremely flexible, the center's additional 39,364 square feet of meeting space can be divided into as many as 28 first floor and mezzanine level meeting and breakout rooms.
Completed in 1998, the state-of-the-art facility is admired globally for its inspired architecture and ground-breaking technology. Well equipped with satellite links, video teleconferencing, data transmission and other audio-visual technology, the Midwest Airlines Center features some of the most advanced IT infrastructure around. In addition, the center's prime downtown location makes it easy to transition from work to play at Milwaukee's attractions, restaurants, hotels and shops. For added convenience, climate-controlled skywalks link the Midwest Airlines Center with more than 1,500 hotel rooms.
Aside from its convenience and efficiency, the Midwest Airlines Center reflects the city's artistic awakening with over $1.2 million in public art displays representing Wisconsin's history, geography and culture. As part of Milwaukee's convention center complex owned and operated by the Wisconsin Center District, the Midwest Airlines Center is joined by the grand, 4,100-seat Milwaukee Theatre, home to top-name concerts and Broadway shows, as well as the recently renovated U.S. Cellular Arena featuring 24,000 square feet of flexible space perfect for exhibit booths, tradeshows or seated banquets for as many as 1,800 guests.
