Milwaukee RiverWalk
Visitors to Milwaukee should take time out for a leisurely stroll down the Milwaukee RiverWalk. Winding alongside the Milwaukee River, the cobblestone paved RiverWalk extends three miles through the city's downtown district and Historic Third Ward. The charming RiverWalk features permanent and temporary public art displays in various mediums, a scenic promenade and plenty of lush green spaces. Of the many things to do along Milwaukee's RiverWalk, visitors can pay a visit to RiverWalk Park, hail a water taxi, take a narrated boat tour or pop in and out of the restaurants, cafes, pubs and shops dotted along its path. Every summer, the Milwaukee RiverWalk is home to RiverSplash!, a free three-day festival that features musical performances, a marketplace, street performers and fireworks.
