Nestled in Bronx Park, the 265 acres of the Bronx Zoo serve as home to over 4,000 species, many of which are endangered or threatened. Guests can journey through African Plains to catch sight of lions, gazelles and African wild dogs, or watch leaping lemurs and surly crocodiles at Madagascar! Visitors also delight in several zoo activities, including camel rides, the monorail running through the Wild Asia environment, and Skyfair, an above-ground cable car that transports visitors over the zoo's foliage and animals.
The zoo offers several settings, including its Schiff Family Great Hall, once the Lion House, for private events. Bronx Zoo hours and schedules vary based on season. Admission is $11 for children ages 3-12, $15 for adults and $13 for seniors. Additional fees may apply for certain attractions. Group rates are available. For more information: 718-367-1010
