With a thriving theater scene, numerous comedy clubs, magnificent museums, themed restaurants, and more, this vivacious city is alive 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Arabian Nights
Consistently voted the best dinner show in town, Arabian Nights showcases 14 different breeds of prized horses from all over the world. With seating for up to 1200, the 14,000 square foot facility is the world's largest indoor Equestrian Arena.
Guests will be captivated as a cast of 40 performers bring the magical story of a royal wedding to life. The hour and a half performance takes place against a mystical backdrop of fog and includes remarkable stunts, as well as spectacular special effects. Show highlights include a chariot race from ancient Rome, square dancing cowboys and Native Americans, and gypsies offering daredevil stunts. Visitors will feast on a mouth-watering prime rib dinner with unlimited beer, wine, and soft drinks while watching some of the best horsemanship in the world. Following the show, guests are invited to stick around to meet the members of the cast.
The show is performed nightly and tickets are typically still available for purchase on the day of the event. General admission is $49.50 for adults and $20.33 for children ages 3-11. VIP tickets can be purchased for increased fees and include one souvenir poster per pair of guests, a free beverage or cocktail of your choice, priority seating in the first three rows, and a special opportunity to meet the horses prior to the show. Bob Marley: A Tribute to Freedom
Take a trip down to Universal CityWalk and participate in a one-of-a-kind celebration of music and culture. This fantastic show plays homage to the life of Bob Marley with Jamaican-influenced cuisine and reggae music. While entertainment is offered from 4:00 pm to 2:00 am, admission after 9:00 pm is only available to those who are 21 years of age or older. There is also a $7 cover between 8:00 pm - 2:00 pm. Bob Carr Performing Arts Center
Located directly across the street from the Expo Centre in the heart of downtown Orlando, the Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre offers a variety of concerts, musicals, symphonies, operas, ballets and family shows. Tickets can be purchased at the Amway Arena Box Office on the East side of the Amway Arena on Reserve Street or online at ticketmaster.com, as well as at all area Ticketmaster centers. The box office is open from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm and until one hour after the event start time. Orlando Museum of Art
Dating back to 1924, the Orlando Museum of Art strives to enrich the cultural life of Floridians by providing excellence in the visual arts. The Museum hosts 10-12 on-site exhibitions and 13 off-site exhibitions of local, regional, national and international significance every year. It also provides unlimited gallery tours, teacher in-service training programs, distinguished lectures, art appreciation lectures, studio classes, and award-winning art enrichment programs.
Cited by Newsweek as one of the best art museums in the South, the Orlando Museum of Art has been featured in notable publications like the New York
New York City Skyline, New York City Times, Southern Living, and ArtNews. The Museum's permanent collection includes American Art, Art of Ancient America, and African Art. Highlights of the American Art Collection include works by well-known artists like John Singer Sargent, Georgia O'Keeffe, Ansel Adams, and many others. Art of the Ancient Americas consists of ceramic, jade, stone, gold, and silver artifacts from civilizations like the Aztec, Diquis, Inca, and Nazca. Visitors will enjoy observing ceremonial and utilitarian artifacts such as masks, metal works, ceramics, and carved ivory from various regions in Africa on display in the African Art Collection. Orlando Nightlife
Even after the sun sets and theme park rides shut down for the day, the city of Orlando does not sleep with everything from hotel bars to hip dance clubs bursting with action. Nightlife centers around four main areas including Downtown Disney, Disney's Pleasure Island, Universal Studios CityWalk, and downtown Orlando's Orange Avenue. Disney specializes in after-hours parties with venues like the House of Blues and the Comedy Warehouse. The Latin Quarter and Bob Marley attract crowds at Universal Studios nightly. Independent Bar
An outside patio with beautiful views of the Orlando cityscape and popular live music draw large crowds to this three-leveled nightclub. DJs spin a fabulous mixture of music from Old Wave classics to Chemical Brothers and everything in between. The club features state-of-the-art sound and lights, three uniquely decorated bars, two dance floors, and café style sidewalk seating. The Lodge
Designed to look like an authentic ski-resort lodge, this downtown Orlando bar has been a beloved gathering place for friends and family since its opening in June of 2003. This uniquely themed bar has become famous for its celebration of Christmas in July complete with Christmas wreaths, holly, carols, and even a snow machine. Patrons have been known to become so immersed in the month-long festivities that they often show up at the bar decked out in full ski gear and Santa hats. Animal skin rugs, wall-mounted deer heads, faux log walls, exposed brick and sunken leather couches create a warm and welcoming environment to enjoy a reasonably priced pint of beer. Destiny Nightclub
This two-level, 23,000 square foot nightclub is the largest club in Orlando, putting all other competitors to shame.
