Eiffel Tower
Built by Gustave Eiffel for the Exposition Universelle in 1889, the Eiffel Tower has become an iconic visual symbol of Paris. Close to seven million people visit the 10,100-ton Tour Eiffel each year, which lords over the grassy Champ de Mars like a "Grand Iron Lady." At 312 meters, it was the world's tallest structure at the time of its construction and remains the tallest building in the city. Visitors may take elevators to the second and third floors, whose respective heights at 115 and 276 meters offer spectacular views of the city below. The second floor may also be reached by staircase.
The Eiffel Tower offers a first-floor, 300-square-meter reception room that can be rented out for private events. Set 57 meters above the city, this venue offers visitors a truly unique perspective on Paris. Two restaurants are also available for events: Altitude 95 on the first floor and Le Jules Verne, headed by renowned chef Alain Ducasse, on the second floor.
The Eiffel Tower's elevators operate September 1 to June 12 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 PM and June 13 to August 31 from 9:30 to 12:45 AM. Final elevators depart 45 minutes prior to closing times. Elevator entrance tickets to the top floor are €9.90 for youths ages 12-24 and €13 for adults. Elevator tickets to the second floor are €6.40 and €8, respectively. Reduced group rates are also available. For more information: +33 14 411 2323
