
Distillery Historic District
Founded in 1832 as the Gooderham & Worts Distillery, this picturesque village located in downtown Toronto was recently reinvented into a lively historic district. Today it has quickly become a Toronto favorite and home to North America's best preserved collection of Victorian industrial architecture. Set on 13 acres, the pedestrian-only Distillery District delights visitors with its old-world charm and artistic flair. Boasting red brick buildings, cobblestone paths and a grid-street design, it is home to over 100 tenants including artist studios, museums, galleries, boutiques, bistros and cafes.
Alive with activity, the Distillery District hosts events throughout the year including a blues festival, a jazz festival, outdoor art exhibitions and a farmers' market. The Distillery District offers one-hour walking tours daily except Monday at 11:30 AM and 3:30 PM.
