Cherry Street is one of Tulsa's most charming places to soak up the laidback attitude of the city. The neighborhood's hippie roots are evident in the Peace of Mind Bookstore and the community-minded Cherry Street Farmers' Market. Founded in 1998 by a collection of foodies, farmers, and horticulturalists who insisted that fresh, local food should be available in Tulsa, the market offers an abundance of fresh produce, artisan breads and cheeses, herbs, flowers, and crafts every Saturday morning during the spring and summer. A trip to the market isn't complete without stopping at the variety of shops, bistros, and cafes nearby.
