Tulsa Performing Arts Center
The four theaters, studio space and grand reception hall of the Performing Arts Center were designed by Minoru Yamasaki, one of the architects who created the former World Trade Center. In addition to hosting a range of performances, concerts and functions, the center has a permanent art collection made up of more than 70 pieces on display and hosts rotating exhibitions of the work of contemporary artists.
The center's many performance spaces can be rented for private affairs. Chapman Music Hall, the largest space, seats 2,365 people, while the John H. Williams Theatre has space for 430 guests. The two black box theaters have flexible seating options: the Liddy Doenges Theater can accommodate 100 to 300 guests and the Charles E. Norman Theater can hold 200 or fewer people. Non-theater spaces include the Westby Pavilion, a spacious room with coffered ceilings, 12 chandeliers and a corner bar for up to 240 guests, and the Robert J. LaFortune Studio, a flexible, drapery-lined space for up to 200 guests. Hours and schedules vary based on performance. Tickets range from $10 to $25. For more information: 918-596-7122
