Brasserie Beck
In French, "brasserie" means a café doubling as a restaurant with a relaxed setting. Brasserie Beck, located in the city's McPherson square, certainly stays true to its name. A contemporary take on this European style of dining, the restaurant offers French and Belgian fare such as Duck Congolese Almondine and Chicken Waterzooi, a Belgian stew. To complement its elegant dishes, Brasserie Beck proclaims its beer list as the city's most extensive outside of Belgium, with over 100 beers by bottle and nine on tap, from the sweet and sour taste of dark cherries in Kasteel Rouge to the notes of citrus and coriander in the creamy Floris Witt. Group accommodations are available in various private rooms for up to 80 guests. Brasserie Beck serves lunch Monday through Friday from 11:30 AM to 5 PM and dinner Monday through Thursday from 5 to 11 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 5 to 11:30 PM. Brunch is served Sunday from 11:30 AM to 8 PM. Lunch entrees range from $19 to $24 and dinner entrees range from $26 to $27.
