A self-proclaimed "World of Beer," the Brickskeller has served over 5,000 beers since its opening in 1957, winning it a spot in the Guinness World Records for the most varieties of beer commercially available. Indeed, the beer list features a dizzying array of global brews, from Latvia's Alderis Zelta to Lebanon's Almaza to Guatemala's Cabro. Traditionalists can rest assured, though, that about 350 American beers, including popular favorites of Budweiser, Michelob and Miller, have their place on the list too. Burgers, sandwiches and pizzas are great menu items offered to wash down with a beer.
Private rooms and on-site catering are available for groups of 30 to 150 people. Brickskeller Dining House & Down-Home Saloon is open Monday and Tuesday from 5 PM to 2 AM, Wednesday and Thursday from 11:30 to 2 AM, Friday from 11:30 to 3 AM, Saturday from 6 PM to 3 AM and Sunday from 6 PM to 2 AM. Many beers are under $5, and entrees range from $7 to $13.For more information: 202-293-1885
