Kennedy Center at Night
The Kennedy Center serves two purposes, as both a living memorial to former President John F. Kennedy and as an entertainment venue for artists from across America and the world. The center sits on 17 acres overlooking the Potomac River, serving as host to over 2,000 performances annually, as well as home to the National Symphony Orchestra, Washington Opera, Washington Ballet and American Film Institute. Performances include theater, musicals, dance, orchestral, chamber, jazz, popular and folk music. Guests can also tour the center, stopping by the Hall of States, Hall of Nations and several donated paintings and sculptures, among other points of interest.
The Kennedy Center has several spaces available for rental, including the 60-seat Israeli Lounge and 570-seat South Gallery. Performance schedules and ticket prices vary based on performance. Tours run Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 5 PM and weekends from 10 AM to 1 PM.For more information: 202-467-4600
