Sipapu is a family owned and operated resort with one goal in mind since beginning in 1952, "Family Friendly, Family Fun!" As ski enthusiasts, we are here to share our passion for skiing with all levels of skiers in an intimate setting, which allows a guest to become part of the Sipapu family. The peace and tranquility of our secluded location makes Sipapu one of the ideal destinations for those who appreciate the pleasure of getting back to the basics. Nestled in the Sangre de Christo Mountains along the Rio Pueblo, Sipapu is surrounded by the Pecos Wilderness and the Carson National Forest. With facilities for groups of 2 to 260 we are able to graciously host your corporate gathering, retreat, family reunion or wedding. 22 scenic miles southeast of Taos, New Mexico, Sipapu offers short lift lines and varied terrain for downhill skiing, snowboarding, and cross-country skiing. Sipapu offers private and group snowboarding and skiing lessons for both adults and children.
