What is Urban Meadows? It's much more than a flower shop. It's a place for people with a serious mental illnesses to begin again with real hope for their future. The employees are mostly members of Thresholds, Illinois largest psychiatric rehabilitation agency. Urban Meadows, division of Thresholds' small-business umbrella, is a not-for-profit floral business that hires and trains people working toward recovery. The training continues though out employment here, and a professional staff offers these people in recovery guidance, support, individual accommodations, and on-going instruction.
