The William L. Yates Conference Center caters to guests who want a professional, quietly sophisticated setting without the distractions of a large convention center or hotel. Completed in 2004, the Conference Center is spacious and flexible, and it offers the latest amenities and technologies desired by business and social event planners. Situated on lovely Center Point Lake in a lushly landscaped green space, the Center is right off Interstates 20 and 26 and just minutes from the Columbia Metropolitan Airport. This location provides ease of access for in-town and out-of-town guests, as well as ample, free parking. The Meeting Place is ideally suited for a variety of gatherings, accommodating groups up to 230 people. We are the perfect venue for executive planning sessions, seminars, continuing education and large presentations. Guests may choose from our boardroom, classrooms and ballroom settings. Social events such as weddings, family reunions and anniversaries also find our facilities welcoming. The spaciousness of our reception area, gallery and ballroom allows for ease of movement. Events also can utilize our back patio overlooking Center Point Lake.
