Venue Description
The historic YWCA building at 4th and Burnett offers the ideal location to treat your guests to the charm and elegance of an earlier time. This historic landmark building reflects both the architectural and social character of Fort Worth in the 1920's. Designed by noted Fort Worth architect Wyatt C. Hedrick as an Elks Lodge Hotel, this building is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
The Great Room, located on the first floor, provides an elegant setting for a wedding ceremony or small reception. It features Spanish Renaissance styling, a beamed and stenciled ceiling of gold, teal and green, ceramic tile floor and impressive fireplace.
The Grand Ballroom, located on the second floor, offers the ideal setting for a reception or dinner party. The Ballroom features intricate plaster detailing, gold-capped pilasters, arched windows enhanced by gold tapestry draperies, black walnut floor and a wonderful view of downtown Fort Worth.
A marble staircase with wrought iron railing connects the upper-floor Ballroom with the Great Room. Elevators also provide access to the Ballroom level.
