The Honeywell Foundation, Inc. is dedicated to the enhancement of social, recreational, and cultural opportunities for the people of Wabash County [and the State of Indiana] and to perpetuating the legacy of vision and excellence demonstrated by its founders.
The Honeywell Foundation is a non-profit organization which operates the Honeywell Center.
The Honeywell Center is located at 275 West Market Street off State Route 15 on the west side of the Wabash downtown historic district. The Center was built in the 1940's by Wabash native Mark C. Honeywell, co-founder of Honeywell, Inc. In 1983, the facility was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In 1994, the Foundation opened an addition to the Center that included the 1,500 seat Ford Theater, Carpenter Plaza, Clark Gallery, Garver Sculpture Plaza, the Olivette Room (a partial replica of Mr. Honeywell's 1930s yacht), and a 27 panel exhibit about Mark and Eugenia Honeywell with video clips of the Honeywells and their properties.
