Venue Description
The Hiller Aviation Institute & Museum was founded by helicopter pioneer Stanley Hiller Jr. in June 1998.The institute was conceived in the early ‘70s on the premise that objective presentation of history, with all its linkages and drivers, would be a logical foundation which to construct a vision of future global science and aviation.
The museum is located at the Northwest corner of the San Carlos Airport, San Mateo County, and immediately adjacent to highway 101. The museum’s 53,000 square foot complex consists of a main exhibit hall, an entrance atrium, 35-seat Theater, 50-seat conference center, gift store/restoration shop/and kitchen facilities for catered events.
