“Group Business is a substantial part of a hotel’s revenue mix, and because of this we continue to see hotels renovating their facilities and improving the amenities they offer to stay competitive in this global industry,” said Kevin Fliess, vice president of product marketing for Cvent’s Hospitality Cloud. “We have seen impressive group business volume among the top hotels this year in both Nashville and Barcelona. These cities not only have one, but multiple hotels making an appearance on our Top 10 list, which showcases their ability to create prominence among a large global audience of meeting and event planners.”

Cvent evaluated hotel properties that generated business through the Cvent Supplier Network from January 2015 through December 2015. The properties were ranked according to various criteria, including total requests for proposals (RFPs), awarded RFPs, total room nights, awarded room nights, major metropolitan area (MMA) market share, conversion rate, and the hotel's unique profile visits in the Cvent Supplier Network. The criteria are designed to provide the most accurate reflection of the top meeting hotels in the U.S. and Europe.

“Nashville is still booming and we had a great year hosting a large variety of meetings and events,” said Dan Piotrowski, general manager, Omni Nashville Hotel. “It is an honor to be recognized by Cvent for all the hard work put forth by our associates to ensure every meetings group has a successful event when experiencing the Music City.”

The Cvent Supplier Network contains listings of hotels and other venues in more than 175 countries that can be searched and filtered based on approximately 200 meetings and events attributes. The Cvent Supplier Network is part of the Cvent Hospitality Cloud, which provides hotels, CVBs and other event venue owners, solutions to effectively generate qualified demand for meetings and events, manage that demand more efficiently, and measure group business performance.
