Cvent Supplier Network Named 2011 CODiE Award Finalist for Best Business Leads & Directory Service
McLean, VA — January 19, 2011 - Cvent, the world's largest provider of online event management, meeting site selection, and web survey solutions, today announced that the Cvent Supplier Network (CSN) has been selected as one of four finalists in the 2011 Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) CODiE Awards competition for "Best Business Leads & Directory Service."
The CODiE Awards honor the software and information industry's finest products and services, and recognize excellence in corporate achievement. The Cvent Supplier Network, a free web-based meeting venue database and Request for Proposal (RFP) tool, was selected as a finalist following a comprehensive evaluation by the award program's expert judges, who reviewed the system's technical features, ease of use, breadth and depth of content, design, accessibility and user training and support.
"The CODiE Awards program is one of the most prestigious and competitive programs in the country, and we're honored to be chosen as a finalist following such an intensive review process," said David Quattrone, Cvent's Chief Technology Officer. "We work hard to ensure meeting and event planners worldwide can look to CSN as a one-stop, comprehensive resource for finding the ideal venue for their events, and that hotels and special event venues can rely on the system for highly-qualified group business leads. CSN recently underwent significant enhancements, and our selection as a CODiE finalist validates the substantial effort we've put into developing and improving the system."
The Cvent Supplier Network is the largest generator of group business leads for hotels and special event venues around the world. The system allows meeting planners to search detailed profiles of more than 150,000 venues worldwide, send electronic Request for Proposals (RFPs), and compare bids with side-by-side reports – all at no cost. Use of the system has grown dramatically over the past couple of years, and Cvent expects that almost $4 billion in unique group business will flow through CSN to event venues in 2011.
SIIA members will vote online to help determine CODiE Award winners, which will be announced during the 10th Annual Information Industry Summit on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 in New York City.
