Strategic Meetings Management continues to be the industry standard as companies look to achieve greater visibility, cost savings, and risk mitigation in the area of corporate events and meetings.

The Aberdeen Group researched over 115 enterprises to analyze the state of their meetings management programs based on the programs' current effectiveness, use of solutions to aid in operational activities, and the benefits derived from their programs.

Based on their findings, Aberdeen developed this report, "Strategic Meetings Management: A View into the Best-in-Class Strategic Meetings Management Program," which outlines the successes achieved by Best-in-Class companies and provides recommendations to organizations for ways to help them achieve Best-in-Class status.

Based on the Research Findings:

  • Best-in-Class companies have identified 75% higher cost savings on SMM spending than all other organizations.
  • Best-in-Class companies have experienced a 50% higher rate of compliance to internal SMM policies and guidelines than all other organizations.
  • End-to-end SMM solutions (i.e. technology) help companies achieve 30% higher cost savings as compared to companies not currently using an end-to-end SMM solution
  • "Companies' meetings and events are 26% more likely to either meet or exceed pre-defined goals, objectives, and expectations when the company uses an end-to-end SMM solution"
