Upon completion of this course the participant will be able to: 1. Identify types of overuse/ tendon injuries and healing rates in multiple joints of the human body. 2. Describe mechanisms of injuries, including pathomechanics of injuries. 3. Identify differences in physiology of tendonitis and tendinopathy which affect overuse injuries 4. Classify overuse/ tendon injuries into diagnostic categories using tendon classification scales. 5. Describe diagnostic testing used for identifying tendinopathies 6. Demonstrate knowledge of adverse outcomes of conventional treatments. 7. Describe various surgical options available for tendon injuries. 8. Evaluate evidence-supported treatment modalities for chronic overuse/tendon injuries. 9. Demonstrate evidence supported treatment techniques (including exercise and soft tissue mobilization) for prevention and rehabilitation of overuse/ tendon injuries. 10. Propose treatment options with patient case scenarios.
