CCFA is excited to announce that we will be hosting the IBD Clinical Trials Workshop: Principles and Practice. This educational five-session course will include an in-depth review of current topics in IBD clinical investigation. Topics will include effective clinical trial management and recruitment strategies used to maximize trial success, designing clinical protocols that reflect patient considerations, shifting views on clinical trial end points, and thoughts on the future of IBD clinical research.
This is a great opportunity for professionals from various areas of the IBD field to discuss how the future of clinical trials in IBD can be shaped from their unique perspectives, enabling us to work towards the common goal of creating groundbreaking studies for greater advancements in IBD. As with prior years, reviews of specific topics of discussion may be submitted for publication to the IBD journal.
The IBD Clinical Trials Workshop is a multidisciplinary program with broad participation. The meeting will bring together the clinical trials community from academia, the pharmaceutical and device industries, government agencies, medical centers and clinical research organizations. Those involved in clinical IBD research, nurses, study coordinators, clinical research associates, and other healthcare professionals interested in IBD clinical investigation will be invited to attend. In all, we hope to reach an audience of approximately 200+ professionals.
At the completion of this workshop, attendees will learn and be able to:
Current State of IBD Therapy and Clinical Trials
Drug Development Process
Aspects of IBD Clinical Trials: Ethics, Safety, Design, Data Integrity
Perspectives and Organizational Strategies for IBD Clinical Trials
Factors Affecting Clinical Trials
