If you find yourself spending too much time writing comments on student work without seeing much return in their performance, this workshop may be for you. Most of us assess student work following what we remember receiving as students, rather than adopting innovative methods that shrink our time-investment while simultaneously increasing the clarity, meaningfulness and effectiveness of our feedback to students. In this workshop we’ll discuss course- and assignment-design strategies to accomplish just that, with a focus on long-form, take home assignments. Please note that this workshop won’t focus on rubrics.
