This to-the-point fireground strategy and tactics session is for fire service professionals - volunteer, combination, and career firefighters, line officers, and chief officers who are serious about command and control of their incidents and the safety of the people they are responsible for. The results of this session will provide an interactive experience for all attendees using a tactics simulator to deploy firegound companies and a command system;• Identify the needs for additional resources.• Setting up an effective command structure.• The importance of effective fireground communications. • Apparatus placement.• Fighting offensive and defensive fires.Using a dispatch center, radio protocols, face-to-face communication, and confronting various challenges during the fire operations, both offensive and defensive fires will be fought. After each incident, a careful post-incident critique will be conducted for a positive learning experience.
