At BIG 2017, BREAST will continue to offer test set reading for self-assessment and research with a brand new test set developed in collaboration with BreastScreen Counties Manukau. Participants will receive a personal performance report, completion certificate, and will be eligible to gain CPD points from RANZCR for partaking in a professional development activity. Please contact the College directly for advice regarding CPD points.
Hologic is offering 2.5 hour faculty led Genius 3D-reading workshops for Radiologists. These workshops, facilitated by an experienced Radiologist, feature an introduction and overview on Genius 3D Breast Imaging and C-View Software.
Participants will receive guidance on Tomosynthesis interpretation, at their own clinical workstations (max. 2 people / workstation), while reviewing 20 clinical Genius 3D data sets with accompanying 2D and/or C-View imaging.
Each session is limited to 16 participants. RANZCR CPD points to apply.
NB: Genius 3D reading workshops on Fri and Sat have a strong focus on use of the C-View image to accompany the 3D, so for those radiologists already performing Tomo HD or considering moving from the Combo HD mode to Tomo HD, this workshop will be beneficial.
A 45 minute workshop for Radiologists and Radiographers to explore new solutions for biopsy workflow using combinations of a new VABB system and the use of the Hologic Tomosynthesis guidance systems.
It features a lecture on clinical experiences, theoretical knowledge and the potential impact of using these different approaches to biopsy, on current clinical practice.
The hands on part of the workshop will cover the new VABB system in combination with the traditional upright biopsy technique - with and without a lateral arm device, using Hologic 3D™ breast biopsy guidance.

Hologic is offering a series of 1 hour presentations for Radiologists.
Dr Daniela Bernardi, from Trento, Italy, will introduce a clinical perspective on the use of Contrast Enhanced 2D (CE2D) Mammography.
The session includes a brief lecture providing first-hand knowledge and experience in implementing CE2D in an actual clinical environment, followed by a faculty led review session with correlate ancillary imaging results.
Each session is limited to 15 participants.

Join Dr Wayne Lemish, Director of Breast Imaging at East Melbourne Radiology VIC, who will guide you through his approach to reading digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT).
During this exclusive workshop, you will learn via case-based demonstration how the evaluation of 2D mammography versus 3D Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (DBT) is being performed. You will be guided through approximately 20 clinical DBT cases conducted on Siemens MAMMOMAT Inspiration using Siemens syngo.Breast Care reading software.

Dr Wayne Lemish is an Australian trained radiologist with subspecialty interest in Breast imaging including mammography, digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT), breast ultrasound and MRI.
Dr Lemish has more than twenty years experience in screening for the early detection of breast cancer, both in private practice and with BreastScreen Victoria.
Wayne is currently Director of Breast Imaging at East Melbourne Radiology, and is a member of the Board of Management for BreastScreen Victoria.
