Intensive Cataract Surgical Training Course
FOR SECOND-YEAR RESIDENTS

This highly regarded weekend course is designed exclusively for second-year ophthalmology
residents. Utilizing the latest surgical techniques and taught by leading experts in the field, it is
an intensive, information-packed weekend that will provide you with the skills and knowledge
necessary to become a highly capable cataract surgeon. Participation in the wet labs, lectures, and
meals is complimentary, however registration is required and fills up fast. Register early! 
 

COURSE EXPECTATIONS

At the completion of this Course, it is expected that the Residents will be able to:

  • Address preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative management issues in cataract surgery
  • Learn and practice the technical skills of cataract surgery
  • Recognize and understand complications of cataract surgery
  • Increase knowledge of phacoemulsification technology, instrumentation, and lenses.
